Nurturing the Environment in Academic Writing at Wang-noi

The greatest giving in Buddhism is “to give or to transfer knowledge” which is also known in Dhamma language as “Dhammadāna”. The act of giving dhamma equivocates to giving “pañña” (understanding) to oneself and others, and only through pañña will humankind persevere against the thorns of “lokadhamma” (eight worldly vicissitudes).

Even though the preparations for The International Buddhist Conference on the United Nations Day of Vesak Celebration in May have drained the energy out of myself and the committee, we should not forget our role in “writing academic papers for publication in the international Day of Vesak celebration.”

In light of furthering our efforts, Prof. Dr. Somparn Promta from Chulalongkorn University, Prof. Sivalee Sirilai and Asst. Prof. Parichart Suwannabuppa from Mahidol University, who are researchers in the school of Buddhist academia, have joined us in providing their insightful perspectives in writing academic papers.
