วันนี้ (๑๐ กุมพาพันธ์ ๕๓: ๑๗.๐๐-๒๐.๐๐ น.)  ได้มีการเปิดเปิดหลักสูตรการเขียนบทความทางวิชาการ รุ่นที่ ๑ ณ ห้อง ๒๐๕ อาคารมหาจุฬาฯ วัดมหาธาตุ ท่าพระจันทร์ กรุงเทพฯ เพื่อนำบทความอันเกิดจากการพัฒนาและฝึกอบรมไปนำเสนอในงาน "มหาจุฬาวิชาการ ๕๓" และ "ตีพิมพ์ผลงานในวันวิสาขบูชาโลก ปี ๕๓"

        On 24 January, the Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Dharmakosajarn presided over the Official Opening Ceremony of Language Institute of Mahachulalongkornrajavidlayala University (MCU) with the participation of both local and foreigners.

       The United Nations (UN) resolution to recognise the “Day of Vesak” as an international event, sacred to several hundred millions who follow the teachings of the Buddha, led to its declaration as an “official international holiday”.

       The greatest giving in Buddhism is “to give or to transfer knowledge” which is also known in Dhamma language as “Dhammadāna”. The act of giving dhamma equivocates to giving “pañña” (understanding) to oneself and others, and only through pañña will humankind persevere against the thorns of “lokadhamma” (eight worldly vicissitudes).

        The United Nations (UN) resolution to recognise the “Day of Vesak” as an international event, sacred to several hundred millions who follow the teachings of the Buddha, led to its declaration as an “official international holiday”.

         In December 1999 the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution recognising The Day of Vesak, the Day of the Full Moon in the month of May each year, to be internationally recognized and, in particular at the United Nations Headquarters and other United Nations Offices.

        The International Council of United Nation Day of Vesak (ICUNDV) calls for academic papers under the theme “Global Recovery: The Buddhist Perspective”. Papers are open to holistic research fields as well as academia revision on the following sub-themes:

              Venerable Professor Dr. Phra Dharmakosajarn, Rector of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), announced yesterday after a meeting with the International Council of United Nations Day of Vesak (ICUNDV) at the President Building, MCU Wangnoi Campus, that, “Thailand and Japan have been nominated to co-host The 7th Conference of the United Nations Day of Vesak 2010, which will occur on 23-25 May 2010.

         On 7th December 2009, The Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Dharmakosajarn (Prayoon Dhammacitto), the Rector of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and the Chairperson of the International Association of Buddhist Universities (IABU) scheduled a meeting with the Chairperson and Committee Secretary of the 7th Conference of the United Nations Day of Vesak at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Rector’s Office, Ayutthaya.

       18th – 19th December 2009, The Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Dharmakosajarn - Royal Scholar, Rector of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya, Ecclesiastical Regional Governor 2, Rector of International Association of Buddhist Universities (IABU), has attended the Committee for Publishing the First Universal Tripitaka at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Tambol Lam Sai, Wang Noi, Ayutthaya.
