     Bangkok Declaration  The Seventh International Buddhist Conference
on The United Nations Day of Vesak  May 23-25, 2010 (B.E.2553)

A Buddhism week will be held between May 24 and 28 to mark Visakha Puja, which is recognized as the holiest day of the year for Buddhists everywhere. On this occasion, the Government has called on Buddhist Thais to join various religious activities as a tribute to His Majesty the King.

Dear Venerable Sirs, Brothers and Sisters in the Dhamma Participating in the 2010/ 2553 United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations,
The violent clash between some demonstrators and the security forces,

      Yesterday (May, 14th B.E. 2553), the Steering committees of an event “The world celebration ceremony, Vesakha Maha Bucha” leading by the major general, Sanan Khajornprasat, invited involved committee to meet at government house (3rd floor of Banchakarn 1 building) for preparing the event to make an advantage for Buddhists both inside and outside country.

       April 29th, 2010. The writer and VESAK 2010 organizing team went to Ayutthaya’s city hall for two following purposes.
